Institut National des Arts in downtown Bamako is a legendary school in Mali. Founded back in the 1930'es it is the formative school where many of the great artists have gone to. Just think of musicians like Habib Koité og Cheick Tidiane Seck. Or the artist, Abdoulaye Konaté. A sprawling place, where everything seems to happen: music, theatre, dance, art and the classes in self defence at night.. But more than anything the music.
